BAND OF THE
MONTH: AMERICAN ARMADA
American Armada = punk rock awesomeness. Everything you might love about punk
rock is here. Buzz saw guitars, two distinct vocalists both shouting their lungs
out in melodic anthemic choruses and some really frantic drumming are all
included, and it's all quality stuff, too. Every song flies by at breakneck
speed, so you won't get much contrast, but be honest, is contrast really
necessary for a record that's over in less than a half hour?

with Machine Age Studios and Modey Lemon! Enter to become
one of three finalists to open for Modey Lemon on Friday,
April 2nd. A member of Machine Age Studios, Modey Lemon and
WPTS will select a winner from the finalists to win two days
of recording at Machine Age Studios!

The Warhol and 92.1 WPTS present Sound Series: Owen Pallett
on Wednesday, April
14th!
You won't want to miss this unique opportunity to experience
the lush orchestrations of Owen Pallett in the intimate
Warhol theater. Pallett (Final Fantasy) will be performing
music from his new album, Heartland (Domino Records). Winner
of the 2006 Polaris Award for best Canadian full-length
album for Final Fantasy’s He Poos Clouds, Pallett has
continued to garner praise for his lyrical imagery and
innovative compositions.
Pallett has composed string arrangements for the likes of
Arcade Fire, Pet Shop Boys and Grizzly Bear and will perform
